South Africa

waterkloof image
Most of South Africa's wine regions are found around the Western Cape where the ocean current and wind cools the otherwise hot climate.  A compelling blend of tradition and innovation, from the crisp Sauvignon Blancs to rich Chenin Blancs, the most widely grown grape, the whites are vibrant and diverse.  Red wines, like the uniquely South African Pinotage, showcase ripe, fruity flavors alongside earthy notes.  Bordeaux blends and Cabernet Sauvignons also excel, offering structure and complexity.
