Palmers Cotton Beach Towel Blue and white 70cm x 140cm

George Biles (b.1900/d.1987) was a Bridport based signwriter who for many years painted pub signs for Palmers Brewery. The George Biles Project delivered by Bridport Town Council digitised his surviving work.

5 parcels in Le Vaillon (the best and original part) as opposed to Les Vaillons. Average 50 year old vines. 35% barrel fermented (4% new oak).

1 hectare of 30 year old vines around the commune of Mercurey. Matures for 10 months in a combination of barrels (25% new) and stainless steel cuve.

Depending on the vintage, 50% whole-bunch fermentation is used. The wine is aged for about 12 months in barrels (with 15% of new barrels) and 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Charcuterie (cold cuts), pork, and grilled meats will be perfect with this wine.

Flattering nose on black berry fruits. The palate is supple, with elegant tannins and a spicy finish.

A single plot in the communal AOC. A very mineral Saint-Véran, with white flowers and mint, which ends on a fresh and linear finish.

A blend of equal parts of 2 different terroirs. The marn soil of La Cote, brings power and minerality to the structure as well as length in the mouth. The clay-limestone combination of Tillers brings finesse with citrics and pit fruit. The soul (AME in French)

100% in barrels for 12 months. No new barrels.Bottled after light filtration.

Buttery vanilla oak, citrus lemon and lime with green and yellow apple.

Pinot Noir with crunchy raspberry, ripe strawberry, cherry, forest floor, oak and the silkiest texture.
