    Complex aromas of red berry, bramble fruit and a touch of spice. The palate has blackberry and plum notes balanced by some savoury characters, bright acidity, a hint of pepper and ripe tannins.

  • Deep ruby colour. The elegant and stylish nose combines fresh, intense blackcurrant and cherry aromas with subtle notes of liquorice and spice. On the palate the rich and concentrated black fruit flavour is supported by firm but well integrated tannins. True to the Taylor’s style the wine shows great balance and finesse.

    This 2017 Late Bottled Vintage Port was produced from grapes sourced from four of Graham’s vineyards located in various prime sites in the mountainous Douro Valley. The low yields translated into intense and concentrated wines, rich and opulent — beautifully balanced by the freshness provided by excellent acidity — such was the quality, that Graham’s declared a classic Vintage Port from 2017.

    The 2013 is another excellent LBV from Taylors. Plummy jam and hints of blackcurrant on the nose, with a rich palate of dark cherry and stewed fruits.

    The Krohn house style is one of elegance and refinement, as ever this LBV is excellent value. Roasted red fruits and burnt sugar on nose and palate.

    Retaining a deep and youthful colour, the nose has intense black fruit characters, with notes of sweet spices, liquorice and vanilla. The palate has structure and concentration, with rich, ripe plum and cherry flavours, more spice and firm tannins. It is drinking well now, but still has many years ahead.
