Bordeaux, France

Red wines of Bordeaux, Claret as it is known by many, has always held a prominent position at Palmers, particularly Chateau Palmer!
Using our main claret contact, Maison Sichel, we have developed a list which offers character, quality and value. Our Chateau Argadens are from the Bordeaux or Bordeaux Superieur appellation and offer fantastic everyday drinking. We have lovely cru-bourgeois from Chateau Devise d'Ardilley, Chateau l'Argentyre, and the highly regarded Chateau Citran offer consistently excellent wine in every vintage.
From the “left bank” where Cabernet Sauvignon predominates we offer Maison Sichel, Chateau d’Angludet from Margaux and Chateau Olivier.
From the “right Bank” where Merlot is king; Chateau Siaurac from Lalande de Pomerol & Grand Cru Classe Chateau Fonplegade.
We always take advantage of the En Primeur campaigns such Chateaux as Chateau Lanessan, Chateau Ormes De Pez from St-Estephe, one of the original nine Cru Bourgeois Exceptionelle, Chateau Lalande De Borie from St-Julien, Chateau Fieuzal from Pessac-Leognan and the legendary Alter Ego De Palmer.

The 2015 vintage was particularly successful in the Sourthern Medoc and Northern Graves with the wines from Pessac-Leognan showing the harmonious fruit that the 2015 will become known for. The Fieuzal 2015 is darker and firmer than many others and is one that will prove to be very long lived, if you are patient enough to give it the time it will be well worth the wait. -

A beautifully rich wine made from perfectly ripened grapes. The personality of this wine is expressed in its colour a beautiful deep garnet with slightly brick tints and its generous bouquet with earthy notes and jammy, red-berried fruit. After the smooth palate with its crunchy extract, the finish brings out the spicy tannins typical of Mdoc wines. -

This cuvée offers a very beautiful color of a dark red with purple reflections. The bouquet is generous, with aromas of red fruits, blackberries and blackcurrant is extended by spicy notes. The mouth is rich, fleshy, the tannins present but without any roughness are coated with a velvety substance which gives it a persistent and balanced finish. -
