This Beaujolais Villages from Domaine Andre Colonge et Fils is light, fresh and classic. Supple and well-balanced, it has a nose of blackcurrant bud and fresh grapes with crunchy red fruit flavours on the palate.

Between Macon and Lyon, in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards and at the foot of Mount Brouilly we find this beautifully renovated, magnificent building, located in an exceptional setting in the middle of the vines. Brouilly is very pleasing when young but also drinks well after a few years cellaring.

It’s as explosive, bright and dramatic as the flower the domaine is named after; popping with ripe cherry, wild strawberry, plum, blackcurrant, rosemary and clove. Divine with salt beef and lashings of mustard, rare beef Thai salads, Sunday roasts or homemade tomato sauces.

Deep red colour, with cherry compote infused with star anise on the nose. The concentrated palate is serious and densely fruity, and well structured tannins suggest good ageing potential.

Serge Cologne has an exceptional 7.3ha site in Fleurie and has been joined by sons Samuel and Landry. A star of the Beaujolais, these wines drip with sappy, raspberry fruit.

Located near Morgon and Fleurie, Chiroubles is home to bright and lively young wines such as this La Forge from Domaine de la Chaponne. Fragrant aromas of fresh summer berries are balanced with soft red fruit flavours and smooth tannins.
