Cantine Pellegrino

Cantine Pellegrino was started in 1880 by Paolo Pellegrino in the Marsala region of Sicily producing Marsala wines. With the merging of families through marriage Cantine Pellegrino is now run by Pietro Alagna and Benedetto Renda.

    Intense and lingering aromas, with scents of apricots, honey and dried figs. Balanced and honeyish palate, with notes of dried figs and light hints of apricots and sweet fruit pickles.

    This blend of Catarratto, Grillo, Damaschino and Inzolia is made with strictly selected grapes vinified before fermentation is stopped with the addition of eau de vie so sugar levels remain below 40g/L. This “Mistella” is then blended with the best DOC wine and aged at least 2 years in French oak casks. The final wine is fortified to 18% alcohol. With toffee and nutty aromas, this wine has rich dry fruit palate flavors. Passito di Pantelleria Muscat of Alessandria, or Zibibbo, grapes are harvested at the end of August and dried naturally before vinification. The wine shows complex, elegant dried fruit and apricot aromas with beautiful balance.

    A medium sweet Marsala made from Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia. Use as an aperitif, with pudding or in a sweet dish.
  • Wine
    A fresh, sweet and wonderfully complex limoncello. Sicilian lemon peel is infused in the alcohol to produce a rich, fresh and natural taste of lemon.
