Italian Red Wines
The fusion of grape variety, producer and location is perfectly displayed in the red wine of Italy. Our list features a combination of established performers and rising stars. From Piemonte in the north we offer Barbera from Araldica, Villa Giada, Conterno and Il Cascinone, Barolo from Massolino, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo from Vajra. From Veneto we source excellent wine from Allegrini, Montresor and Corte Lonardi. Sangiovese from Tuscany is represented by Chianti from Fattoria Nittardi, Cantine Leonardo, Isole e Olena and Fontodi with Antinori, Tenuta San Guido and Fattoria Vitticcio from the Bolgheri Coast. In the Deep South Vallone, Vesevo, Farnese and Appollonio are great purveyors of the dark arts of Primitivo and Negroamoro!
