From the Penrubia district of Jumilla east of Alicante, 100% Monastrell from 50 year old wines. Plum, cherry and chocolate with gentle oak.
Dense, vibrant and youthful in appearance, with well-integrated characters. The wine is beautifully perfumed, with violets, cherries, red berries and gentle vanilla oak notes. The palate has a fresh burst of blackcurrant followed by a delicious ripe blueberry character. Tannins are poised, building to the finish, where there are hints of liquorice.
