The Red wines of Bordeaux, Claret as it is known by many wine buffs, has always held a prominent position at Palmers, particularly Chateau Palmer! Using our main claret contact, Maison Sichel, we have developed a list which offers character, quality and value. Our Chateau Rivensan and Chateau Argadens are from the Bordeaux or Bordeaux Superieur appellation and offer fantastic everyday drinking. We have lovely cru-bourgeois from Chateau Devise d'Ardilley and Chateau l'Argentyre, which offer consistently excellent wine in every vintage. From the “left bank” where Cabernet Sauvignon predominates we offer Maison Sichel and Chateau d’Angludet from Margaux, Chateau Oliviers and the terrific Grand Cru Classe wines of Chateau Haut-Bailly from Pessac-Leognan. From the “right Bank” where Merlot is king; Chateau Perron from Lalande de Pomerol, Esprit de l'Eglise Pomerol, and 1er Grand Cru Classe Chateau Canon from St Emilion.

  • Espirit De l'Eglise is the second wine of Chateau Clos De l'Eglise in Pomerol and 2006 was a aparticularly strong vintage in Pomerol. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this wine is drinking well but continue to develop for several more years.

    Duluc De Branaire Ducru is the second wine of fourth Cru Chateau Branaire Ducru from Saint-Julien. A blend of 70% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit-Verdot from the classic and early maturing 2011 vintage with 16 to 20 months ageing in oak barrels, 60 to 65% new oak.
