Boutinot
Boutinot started life in Greater Manchester in 1972 when Paul Boutinot began to collect wines from France and bring them back to Manchester to sell at his parents restaurant. Paul's reputation quickly begin to grow and it wasn't long before other restaurants were asking for him to sell them wine and the company was started in 1980 as a wine supplier.
Boutinot have furthered their reputation for great value wines by starting to produce wines themselves. They have partnered with Italian producer Adria Vini, have their own vineyard holdings and winery in France and vineyards in South Africa, and now a large percentage of Boutinot's portfolio is their own production.

Classic cranberry and red current aromas giving us a wine with enough bite and texture to be foody but with enough generosity of fruit to be a delicious glass on its own. A touch of oak in the wine making lends a little soothing creaminess to the whole. Pretty, poised and textural.Promotion:Was £15.50

Vibrant ruby hues gleam out of the glass. The first notes on the nose are of crushed blueberries which then develop on to reveal an intriguing bitter-sweet character of crème de cassis with a touch of underlying parma violets. Fine red-fruits fill the mouth; raspberries and a touch of dark chocolate truffle. -

The wine is sourced from grapes equally shaped by the Pacific Ocean that grow in the Aconcagua region's coastal Leyda Valley, grapes that achieve a pungency and aromatic profile redolent of New Zealand's Marlborough region on the other side of the Pacific Rim. Bright, aromatic and crisply textural, with passion fruit, guava and crunchy grapefruit aromas. -
