Fleur De Fonplegade

Fleur De Fonplegade

Region
Saint-Emilion-Grand-Cru, Bordeaux, France
Vintage:
2012
Producer:
Chateau Fonplegade
Grapes:
Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Wine Description:

The second wine of Grand Cru Classe Chateau Fonplegade from St-Emilion. In a very good vintage that doesn’t need long cellaring this is drinking well now. Fleur De Fonplegade is a blend of 95% Merlot with 5% Cabernet Franc from vines that average 30 years and 16 month spent aging in 1 year old oak.

Tasting Note:

Creamy red berry fruits are supported by toasty vanilla oak and pencil lead on the nose. The palate offers generous plum and red current fruit with fine, silky tannins.
