Chateau Gontier, Blaye
From the superb 2010 vintage comes this blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. A wine that is gaining maturity and developing complexity and tertiary flavours. Drinking perfectly now.
Rustic black and red berry fruit with subtle liquorice on the nose. This wine has maturity and is developing light touches of leather, spice and fig.
Chateau Gontier is a 19th century property based between the villages of Blaye and Plassac bordering the Gironde. Chateau Gontier is now owned and run by the Bayle-Carreau family.
