Rose wine has seen a huge increase in popularity over recent times, most in our list are dry, but off dry styles are available too. Once considered a summer only wine it is now a year round phenomenon. France majors in our list with Domaine de Pellehaut producing excellent roses from Gascogny. Andre Dezat supply a wonderful Pinot Noir Sancerre. Boutinot makes Les Cerisiers, a wonderful Cote du Rhone blend.

    A fragrant spring bouquet of flowers and red fruits such as strawberry, red currant and raspberry. This wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with a platter of coche ham, and throughout a meal with grilled meats, Gascony salads and hard cheeses.

    Delicate pink in colour, with subtle aromas of strawberries and redcurrants. On the palate it is fruity with a slight spicy Mediterranean tang- the perfect pairing with a mezze board or charcuterie.
