Region
Costiere de Nimes, Rhone, France
Vintage:
2021
Producer:
Chateau L'Ermitage
Grapes:
Grenache/Garnacha, Syrah/Shiraz, Mourvedre/Monastrell
Wine Description:

From sunny slopes in the Costières de Nîmes, this is a warm, southern, spicy wine with a rustic edge.

Tasting Note:

Giving wild thyme on the nose this dark, full-bodied wine has lots of red ripe fruit, sweet liquorice and roasted coffee flavours and peppery, savoury characters from the Syrah and Mourvèdre. Underpinned by chalky tannins the 2016 is less rustic than in some years and just as appealing.
