Wine Description:

From the Totihue Valley in Rapel, ablend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Syrah and 2% Sangiovese, aged in French oak for 18 months. Cassis and coffee on the nose followed by an elegant, deep fruit palate.

Producer Description

Altair is a super boutique producer started in 2001 with the goal of producing the best red wines possible in Chile. To achieve this goal, no expense has been spared. The secluded property consists of 126 acres located in the Alto Cachapoal Valley at the foot of the Andes Mountains to the south of Santiago. Only two wines are produced and so far the scores have been very impressive. The very strong emphasis has been to do everything by hand. The winemaking team is Ana Maria Cumsille and Pascal Chatonnet from Chile and France respectively.
