Pouilly-Fuisse Le Brules, Chateau Fuisse
Les Brules is a south facing slope that dominates the Château de Fuissé estate.Characterised by rich clay soil mixed with small calcareous pebbles which give the minerality and richness indicative to the Pouilly-Fuisse style.
Rich and succulent, ripe citrus peel, pear and stone fruit on the nose, a creamy palate with bright minerality balanced with toasty but subtle vanilla oak.
Chateau Fuisse vineyards are located at the Southern end of the Maconnais and cover 40 hectares with vineyards in the appelations of Pouilly-Fuisse, Saint-Veran, Macon-Villages, Macon-Fuisse, Bourgogne-Blanc and Julienas.
Owned by the Vincent family since 1862 through five generations of the Family, each generation adding to the vineyard holdings and building Chateau Fuisse's reputation as one of the Maconnais' top producers.
The estate is now managed and run by Antoine Vincent who is also the wine maker and the Chateau itself remains the family home based in the village of Fuisse itself, the Domaine is best known for it's top quality Pouilly-Fuisse with vineyard plots that include Les Brules, Les Combettes and Le Clos as well as producing a Vielle Vigne (old vine) and A Tete De Crus made from over 40 parcels located throughout Chateau Fuisse's 100 acre estate.
