Chateau Argenteyre Cru Bourgeois

Region
Medoc, Bordeaux, France
Vintage:
2018
Producer:
Chateau Argenteyre
Grapes:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Wine Description:

From the Sichel estate, Chateau Argenteyre is a 27ha property. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot with 12 month in oak. Drinking well now but will continue to develop for several years to come. A serious and classic Medoc wine.

Tasting Note:

Deep ruby in colour as the wine is still fairly youthful. The nose sings of Bordeaux with concentrated Blackcurrent Cabernet fruit, menthol spice and oak. The palate shows great depth with Blackcurrent, Black Cherry and Blueberry fruit, earthy smoke and woody spice with firm tannins and structure. Over time the wine will gain further complexity and tertiary flavours of fig, prune and tobacco.

Vegetarian

Food Suggestion:

Great with Beef, Game Bird, Mediterranean dishes.
