Producer Description

Widely regarded as one of the best co-operatives in the world, Cave de Turckheim are situated at the mouth of the Munster Valley and work closely with 180 partners who’s vineyards span the breadth of Alsatian terroir and grape varieties. Significant investment in the winery allows a high degree of separate vinification, offering Michel Lihrman (senior winemaker for 25 years) to select the nuances of variety and soil types in his signature dry style of wines while pushing pure fruit flavours to the fore. Committed to producing the highest quality wines (growers are encouraged to keep yields low and pick by hand) and long term advocates of sustainable practices, Cave de Turckheim have the largest organic vineyard holdings in Alsace. As such organic wines are being added to their extensive range, which covers the excellent value Cave Tradition range up to individual Grand Cru varietals as well as Crémants d’Alsace and Vendange Tardive dessert wines.
