A serious Bourgogne that is made to last, this superb Bourgogne is from a district of Nuits Saint Georges opposite the famous Les Saint Georges. With great structure and aromatic fruit, Thibault Liger-Belair's Bourgognes benefit from a couple of years aging and the 2012 is starting to drink very well.
Dark, firm and structured, this is a Bourgogne with aging potentail. Black cherry and bramble fruit with spice and oak.
Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair is an estate located in Nuits Saint-Georges started in 1720 as a merchants by Claude Marey. Ownership continued through successive generations of his family until the 1850's when Comte Liger-Belair, who owned vineyards in Vosne-Romanée becomes an associate in the business.
After the death of Guillaume Felix Marey, Comte Liger-Belair takes sole ownership and Domaine Liger-Belair continues through generations of the Liger-Belair family until 2003 when Thibault Liger-Belair creates the Domaine as it is now known.
Domaine Liger-Belair own plots in Vosne Romanée, Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Gevrey Chambertin.
