Wine Description:

A tiny 8ha estate in the heart of Saint Emilion using 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from 40 year old vines. Aged in wood for 16 months to 2 years.

Tasting Note:

Creamy red fruit, redcurrent, cranberry and eathy plum balnced with soft vanilla oak. The wine has great depth, structure and length.

Producer Description

Chateau Cardinal-Villemarie is a 12 hectare estate based near the village of Saint-Emilion itself in the right bank of Bordeaux. Under the ownership of Justin Onclin since 2007 and with the guidance of consultant Hubert De Bouard of Chateau Angelus extensive was modernisation undertaken with temperature controlled vats being added, changes that have had a suggnificant effect on the Cardinal-Villemaurine wines.
